Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

EasyKameti ("we", "us") is operated by Ahsan Sajjad, Islamabad, Pakistan. Contact: support@easykameti.app. Website: https://easykameti.app.

2. What we collect

You provide:

• Phone number (account creation, WhatsApp verification)
• Display name
• Kameti data: amounts, schedules, member lists, contribution records, payout order
• Notes you enter

Collected automatically:

• Device identifier, iOS version, app version
• Crash logs and diagnostics
• Activity timestamps
• WhatsApp message delivery status (sent, delivered, read)

We do not collect: bank details, card numbers, CNIC, or location.

3. We do not handle your money

EasyKameti is a record-keeping and coordination tool. We do not receive, hold, transfer, or process kameti contributions or payouts. All money moves directly between members outside this app. We are not a financial institution, payment processor, or escrow service, and we do not guarantee any member's payment or the conduct of any kameti.

4. WhatsApp messaging

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta Platforms, Inc.) to send you messages.

What we send:

• Verification codes — one-time passcodes when you sign in. Required for account security.
• Payment reminders — notifications about contributions due in kametis you belong to. Optional.

How we get your consent: You explicitly opt in during signup by checking the relevant boxes. Verification-code delivery is required to use the app. Reminders are separate and optional. We record the date, time, and content of your consent.

We never send marketing or promotional messages over WhatsApp.

How to opt out:

• Turn off reminders in Settings → Notifications
• Reply STOP to any message
• Block the number in WhatsApp
• Email support@easykameti.app

Opting out of reminders does not affect your account. Verification codes cannot be disabled while your account is active, as they are required for login.

What Meta receives: To deliver messages, we share your phone number and message content with Meta. Meta processes this under its own terms — see the WhatsApp Business Data Processing Terms and Meta's Privacy Policy. Meta may retain delivery metadata independently of us.

Message costs: WhatsApp messages are free to you. Standard data charges from your carrier may apply.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data.

We also disclose data if required by Pakistani law or valid legal process.

Other members: when you join or host a kameti, your display name and payment status are visible to other members of that kameti.

6. In-app purchases

Processed by Apple. We never see your payment method — only a receipt confirming purchase status.

7. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. On account deletion we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records retained for legal or accounting reasons. WhatsApp delivery logs are kept for 90 days for troubleshooting. Kameti records may persist in other members' views of shared kametis.

8. Your rights

• Access or correct your data in the app
• Delete your account: Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Request a data copy: support@easykameti.app
• Manage message preferences: Settings → Notifications

9. Security

TLS in transit, encryption at rest. No system is perfectly secure. We will never ask you for your verification code. Anyone requesting it is attempting fraud.

10. Children

Not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

11. International transfers

Our servers are in Singapore (hosted by Railway). Meta processes WhatsApp messages on infrastructure outside Pakistan. Using the app means your data may be transferred internationally.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes are notified in-app. Continued use means acceptance.
